Other learning solutions I have developed include programmed instructional text. Now part of GDOT's Engineering Skills Development curriculum, these self paced instructional texts were customized from training provided by Louisiana DOT. Applications used: Microsoft Word, Adobe PageMaker/ InDesign.
As a former newspaper staff writer of a major northwest Georgia daily, I can provide many examples of my writing samples. I have also worked on several small papers and weeklies in Georgia and Alabama. As an undergraduate studying Speech Communications at Columbus State University, I was also fortunate enough to complete a college credit internship as a staff writer at the Atlanta Journal Constitution wrapping up that stint proudly working under famed Sports Editor Furman Bisher.


As Editor of the WriteUp, Southern Polytechnic State University's Technical Communication programs' department newsletter, I published this twice-semester newsletter as a graduate assistant. Primary applications used include QuarkXPress, Photoshop.
I created this brochure as a graduate student at night while working full time as a video producer. I wrote the copy, took the photos, created the graphics and layed out the whole thing. This project won second place in a departmental graphic arts design competition at Southern Polytechnic State University, Applications used: PageMaker/InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
